New Ground: Landscape Painting
These works investigate realism and nature as a joined vehicle in a meditation on infinity. They are documentations of consciousness beyond ordinary perception. Subjects are found in the in-between spaces where plant life thrives miraculously and uncontrolled. These seemingly random glimpses of nature contain the cycle of life and its incessant volition. Composing and painting this imagery with realistic illusionionism is an artistic single-pointed focus, and the metaphor for New Ground.
